Beginners Courses

We hold beginners courses during the year and can take a novice through to running in six weeks. Returners to running are also welcome. We have qualified coaches and plenty of helpers so we can give plenty of encouragement. 


Courses are fun based and you will be shown how to run safely, warm-up and cool-down.


The Borough Council and Alive Leisure are funding our next beginners’ course, using the Hunstanton Heritage Gardens on Cliff Parade in Hunstanton as a base. The course will start on Thursday 7 June and run for six consecutive Thursdays. The sessions begin at 6:30pm, meeting by the Salad Bowl Café. It’s £10 for the six-week course. What do you need?

  • A good pair of running shoes.
  • A good support bra.
  • Comfortable lightweight clothing, layers you can add or take off depending upon the weather.
  • Reflective top for dark nights.


We hope you would find the course a welcoming and friendly experience. You need only run to your own capabilities and you will feel healthier and fitter.


At the end of the course you will be able to join the main group and run on a weekly basis if you wish.
