Our AGM on the 29th September will be held in the Olympic Stadium Room, Alive Lynnsport.
Meeting starts promptly at 6.30 and please attend if you can as this is an important club meeting, particularly since not being able to meet for over a year due to covid. If you have any
items you would like to see included in the agenda please let Bridget know by next Friday (24th September).
Membership is due for the 21/22 season and is still good value at only £2.00 per year. Bridget will be collecting fees from the 29th and will bring new membership forms for anyone who has
not already completed one or has changed their details in the past year.
New membership numbers and cards will be issued in due course.
Hope to see you all there on the night. Remember we do not do a formal run, but instead can meet up before or after the AGM for an informal run.
Lovely run at Bawsey for our last run/walk around the lake. Followed by a nice meal at The Sandboy, a most pleasurable end to our out and about runs.
Back into town next week for the slightly later time of 6.20. See you all there!
On 11th September the Ladybirds took over the volunteering roles as King's Lynn Parkrun to celebrate the 10th anniversary of
the event. Lynnsport Ladybirds were one of the clubs involved in starting up the Parkrun in the Walks.
Amanda, who was the original Event Director back in 2011, was really pleased to be able to help with organising the
anniversary event and to start the Parkrun before she had to rush off to work!
Fabia and Bridget who were also involved in the original startup were fully involved in the birthday event. Fabia
taking over as Run Director for the rest of the event and Bridget managed to fit in timekeeping alongside her role as Parkrun Ambassador.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, you did a great job. All of the parkrunners said what a lovely atmosphere there
was, with a Ladybird at every corner, and encouraging them right to the finish.
A lovely run from Downham Market to King's Lynn on Saturday 4th September.
Congratulations to Lynne for completing her first half marathon distance and to all those ladies trying "jeffing" for the first time.
The lovely meal at Marriots Warehouse was well earned.
A successful 5km run out at Sandringham on week of 19th May. A very good turnout of runners and marshalls and the weather was gorgeous. Return to Lynnsport for the time being.

Well done to everyone who completed, and a big thank you to our coaches, run leaders and Ladybirds who supported the training sessions.

Lovely time at our New Year meal at the Riverside with plenty of time to chat without having to look out for traffic!
Carl from NARS came and did a CPR training session with 15 or so Ladybirds. We are now all now much more confident about helping in the event of an emergency and accessing and using a
defibrillator if need be.
Ladybirds presented a cheque to NARS at the end of the evening to say thanks.
Our annual Fish and Chip run was held at Hunstanton on the 7th August. As popular as ever with over 25 Ladybirds attending. Lovely to run a different route and to finish off with some
very tasty fish and chips courtesy of the Vegas Chip Shop.
Ladybirds staged a takeover at King's Lynn Parkrun on 11th May, manning all volunteer positions and providing support for all runners. This included the return of Amanda as Race Director,
something she last did 3 years ago.
Thanks must also go to the Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteers who were honorary Ladybirds for the day!
Lots of cake eaten and a lovely morning had by all.
The October 2018 beginners group celebrating with their medals and t-shirts. We had 12 complete this course and on the last night they all completed a 5K run (a couple sneaked
off before we took this photo!). The press turned up and took some nice photos of the whole group for Your Local Paper.
The beginners group were all really pleased with what they’ve achieved over the 6 weeks and have found that running can be fun! A big Lynnsport Ladybirds welcome to all the ‘new birds’ who
are now going to come along regularly to the main group on Wednesdays.
A lovely evening was had by all when we met at Lynnsport to celebrate our 25th birthday. Thanks to Fabia, Keri, Debbi and everyone else involved in organising
such a good evening.
We continued our
25th anniversary celebrations with a lovely run at Sunny Hunny followed by fish and chips in Vegas! Well
done to everyone for completing a warm and slightly hilly route and thanks to the Vegas Fish Bar Hunstanton for coping so well with our big order and providing such a nice flowery area to
Very well done to all Ladybirds and especially the beginners who braved a very warm Sunday morning to run the GEAR 10k on the 6th May. It was a struggle at times, but a fantastic effort from
Our coaches delivered a Women's Running Course for Beginners, in conjunction with
Come Alive North Lynn family fitness programme. This was a popular course and a number of ladies have continued running and have joined Ladybirds.
Several of the ladies from the course are still running from Lynnsport each week if
anyone is interested in joining them.
We kicked off our 25th anniversary with a takeover of
Kings Lynn Parkrun on on Saturday 17th February. Every volunteer position was filled by at least
one Lynnsport Ladybird.
Thanks to everyone for being absolutely brilliant, it
was such a fun morning.
